Monday, October 8, 2012       SERIOUS ASSAULT C12-203221 On October 8, 2012, at approximately 2:10 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service including other emergency personnel responded to a residence located in the 100 block of Lindsay Street regarding a serious assault.   Attending members located an adult male with serious upper body injuries. He was conveyed from the scene in critical condition.   Members of the Major Crimes Unit have been notified and are investigating. Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Sunday, October 7, 2012   FIRE INVESTIGATION  C12-202655 On Sunday, October 7, 2012 at approximately 4:40 a.m. emergency personnel responded to the area of the 600 block of Wall Street to what initially appeared to be a motor vehicle collision.   Emergency responders located a vehicle that appeared to have collided into two detached semi-trailers. A fire was ignited which spread to surrounding semi-trailers. The vehicle and six semi-trailers were damaged as a result of the fire.   It is undetermined at this time how the vehicle came into contact with the semi-trailers. Sunday, October 7, 2012     STRONGARM ROBBERY ARRESTS   C12-202326 On Saturday, October 6, 2012 at approximately 7:40 p.m., General Patrol Members responded to the area of the 400 block of Graham Avenue for the report of a strongarm robbery.   The investigation revealed that a 29 year old male was waiting for a transit bus in the area when two unknown males approached him from behind and assaulted him and stole his personal property before fleeing from the area.   The victim sustained minor injury to his upper body and was conveyed to hospital in stable condition.   While attending members were investigating this matter, police were called to the area of the 300 block of Portage Avenue for another report of a strongarm robbery.   General Patrol Members attended and located the two male suspects who were identified as the suspects responsible for the strongarm robbery of the 29 year old male in the 400 block of Graham Avenue.   The investigation revealed that the male suspects attended to the area of the 300 block of Portage Avenue at which time they confronted two male victims and stole personal items from them. The suspects attempted to flee from the area but was apprehended by mall security and held for police.   The victims left the area before police arrived on scene.   A 19 year old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with: Robbery with Violence. He has been detained in custody.   A 17 year old male of Winnipeg has been charged with: Robbery with Violence. He was detained in custody.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.   Investigators are requesting victims of the strongarm robbery that took place in the 300 block of Portage Avenue contact police regarding the incident.  Police are also requesting to speak with a third victim of a strongarm robbery that took place at Portage Avenue and Donald Street at approximately 6:50 p.m. the same date. Saturday, October 6, 2012     MISSING PERSON UPDATE – Nandor Kenneth John CSINCSA R120103418 Nandor Kenneth John CSINCSA has been safely located.   The Winnipeg Police Service would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.       Friday, October 5, 2012   MISSING PERSON – Nandor Kenneth John CSINCSA– R120103418 The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a missing 46 year old male, Nandor Kenneth John CSINCSA.    He was last seen on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in the Maples area of Winnipeg.            CSINCSA is described as White Male, 5'8", 160 pounds, short brown hair, brown eyes and unshaven. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts a white shirt and grey baseball cap.      Csincsa is believed to be driving a 1995 purple, 4-door, Ford Contour LX, with a dent in the rear driver's side quarter panel and a "NASCAR" sticker on the bumper.   Winnipeg Police Investigators are concerned for CSINCSA's wellbeing.   Anyone with information regarding CSINCSA's whereabouts is asked to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.        INDECENT ACT C12-199268 On Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of an indecent act which occurred in the area of Gascon Road and Gosford Avenue.   The investigation revealed that two females, ages 10 and 7 were walking in the area when an unknown male while walking past them indecently exposed himself. The suspect male continued on his way at which time the victims fled to safety and reported the incident to a known adult.   The victims did not sustain injury as a result of this incident.   The suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, 30 – 40 years old, approximately 5'9" tall, stocky build, short brown hair with a scruffy beard.    The investigation is continuing by members of the East District Crime Unit. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 204-986-2857 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477). Friday, October 5, 2012 GROW OPERATION – ARRESTS R12-84178 On Thursday, October 4, 2012 members of the Winnipeg Police Service Drug Unit assisted by the Tactical Support Team and District 3 Community Support Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on Abraham Bay.   A large multi-stage grow operation was located in the residence and the following was seized:   848 Cannabis Marihuana Plants – estimated street value $949,760.00   6 pounds of packaged cannabis marihuana – estimated street value $15,000.00   Grow Operation Equipment – valued at $15,000.00   Officers arrested a 38 year old male and a 34 year old female inside the residence and they are facing the following charges: Production of Cannabis Marihuana, Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking, Cannabis Marihuana and Theft of Telecommunication Service (Hydro).   They were released on a Promise to Appear.       For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
