Winnipeg Police Service News Release

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012   FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLSION              C12-72299 On April 21st, 2012 at approximately 8:40 p.m. emergency services responders were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision that had just occurred in the area of St. Anne's Road and Worthington Avenue.    Upon arrival officers located two vehicles, a Chevrolet Cavalier and a City of Winnipeg transit bus. The adult male driver of the Cavalier, which had extensive front end damage, was transported to the hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.    There were no other reported injuries.     This investigation is continuing by members of the Central Traffic Unit.        For further information contact either: Constable Natalie Aitken, Public Information Officer Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
