Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Wednesday, August 28, 2012     SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION C12-172819 On Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at approximately 10:35 a.m., Emergency Services responded to the area of York Avenue and Main Street regarding a serious motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist.    As a result of the collision one adult male was conveyed to hospital in critical condition.   Winnipeg Police Service members are currently on scene. York Avenue east of Main Street has been temporarily closed to traffic until further notice.   The Winnipeg Police Service Traffic Collision Investigation Section is continuing the investigation. Anyone that may have witnessed the motor vehicle collision or have information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6271.   For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
