Saturday, October 26, 2013   COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – C13-219247 On October 25, 2013 at approximately 3:30 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to a hotel in the 3700 block of Portage Avenue for the report of a commercial robbery. Officers met with hotel staff who advised that a lone male had entered and attended to the front counter at which time he demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the incident. The suspect is described as:Caucasian, 20-30 years of age with a medium to heavy build. The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. COMMERCIAL BREAK & ENTERS – C13-209489 A business in the 600 block of Sheppard Street has recently been the victim of three commercial break & enters.  They include: July 9, 2013 at approximately 6:00 a.m., entry gained by smashing a front window valued at $1500.00.  Nothing was stolen. July 20, 2013 shortly before 4:00 a.m., entry gained by smashing a front window valued at $1200.00.  Once inside suspects stole a cash register containing an undisclosed amount of money and liquor.  The suspect (no description) was seen to leave in a white older model full size regular cab pick-up. October 12, 2013 shortly after 3:30 a.m., entry gained by smashing a front window valued at $1500.00.  Stolen was an assortment of liquor.
