Monday, March 24, 2014 COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C14-59862 On March 23, 2014 at approximately 11:30 p.m., an armed male suspect entered a convenience store located in the 400 block of Edison Avenue and confronted a 21 year-old male employee. The suspect demanded cash and cigarettes, fleeing with an undisclosed amount. The employee was not injured. The suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, in his 20's, skinny build and grey/dark eyes. The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. ROBBERY INVESTIGATION C14-58479 On March 21, 2014 at approximately 1:00 a.m., a 21 year-old male was walking in the area of Edmonton Street and St. Mary Avenue when he was confronted by several males. Two of the suspects were armed, one with a handgun and the other a knife. The victim was physically assaulted and slashed with the knife causing an upper body injury. It was at this time the victim was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. The suspects fled the area and the incident was later reported to police. The victim was confronted by 8-10 males. They are described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 18-25 years of age and wearing dark clothing. The two armed males are described as: (Suspect armed with handgun) Aboriginal in appearance 6'3" tall Husky build 230-250 lbs. Clean shaven Wearing: "Ecko" brand hoody, red hat and blue jeans (Suspect armed with knife) Aboriginal in appearance 6'2" tall Skinny build Wearing: Black hoody and blue jeans The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.
