SHOTS FIRED MALE WANTED C14-70183
As previously released, on April 7, 2014 shortly after 2:00 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue for the report of sounds of shots.
Upon arrival a male youth was located suffering from wounds consistent with having been the result of a firearm discharge. He was transported to hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to stable.
Investigation revealed the 17 year old victim and another male had been within the residence when two male suspects forced their way in. When the victims attempted to flee, one of the suspects discharged his firearm, striking the victim once in the upper body. The second male was not injured. The suspects then fled the scene.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation and arrested Jordan Joseph OWEN 20 years of Winnipeg on April 7 for his alleged involvement.
The second suspect has been identified and as all attempts to locate this male have met with negative results, investigators are requesting the public's assistance in locating him.
Due to his alleged involvement, a warrant of arrest has been issued for Michael Langford Conrad KELLY, 19 years of Winnipeg for Attempted Murder & Firearms related offences.

KELLY is described as: 5'6" tall, 150 pounds with a medium build, fair complexion, long straight brown hair and brown eyes.
Members of the public should not approach KELLY as he is considered to be armed and dangerous.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON C14-70252
On April 8, 2014 Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to the 1st 100 block of Chesterfield Avenue for the report of a suspicious person.
Members met with the 6 year old complainant who advised that at approximately 7:00 p.m. the evening before he had been playing outside his residence when he was approached by an unknown male who asked if he would help him find his dog. The child immediately ran home and told his father.
The father related that around 12:00 p.m. on April 4, his 10 year old daughter and her friend had been walking in the area when this same male followed them. No contact was made by the male.
The male is described as: Caucasian, 6' tall, heavy set, 50-60 years of age with salt & pepper hair and beard. He was wearing glasses, black jacket and baseball cap with black brim, red / orange top and purple adjustment strap.
