Tuesday, June 10, 2014 Break-In Investigation Arrests C14-87917 Between May 1st and May 21st, 2014, a crime spree resulting in numerous garage and vehicle break-ins occurred in the Wildwood Park neighbourhood. The incidents reported to police are as follows: 100 block of Wildwood Park C vehicle broken into property stolen 100 block of Wildwood Park B garage & vehicle broken into money stolen 100 block of Wildwood Park B - garage & vehicle broken into money, gift certificates, and jewellery stolen 100 block of Wildwood Park B garage & vehicle broken into bike stolen. Damage caused due to fire extinguisher being discharged inside vehicle 100 block of Wildwood Park B garage & vehicles broken into money stolen 100 block of Wildwood Park B garage broken into & vehicle stolen 800 block of Kebir Place garage broken into three bikes stolen First 100 block of Wildwood Park E vehicle stolen 100 block of Wildwood Park B garage broken into property stolen 800 block of Kebir Place garage broken into property stolen First 100 block of Wildwood Park E - garage broken into 100 block of Wildwood Park B garage broken into three bikes stolen 100 block of Wildwood Park C vehicle broken into money stolen First 100 block of Riverside Drive garage & vehicle broken into cellular phone stolen Last month, West District members provided information regarding "Project Comet," an initiative that targets property related crime. The project focuses on engaging the public and promoting community involvement. As a result, two male youths were identified and arrested in connection to these break-ins and thefts. A 17 year-old male and 14 year-old male have been arrested. They have been charged with the following offences and remanded into custody. 17 year-old male Break Enter & Theft x 9, Break Enter & Commit, Break Enter with Intent, Theft of Motor Vehicle x 2, Theft Under $5000.00 x 2, Mischief Under $5000.00, Fail to Comply Undertaking x 3 and Fail to Comply Disposition x 2 14 year-old male - Break Enter & Theft x 10, Break Enter with Intent, Theft of Motor Vehicle x 2, Theft Under $5000.00 x 2, Mischief Under $5000.00, Fail to Comply and Fail to Comply Disposition Missing Person George Eric REIGL C14-120252 The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 78 year-old male, George Eric REIGL. REIGL was last seen on June 9th in the south end of Winnipeg near Pembina Highway and Edderton Avenue. REIGL is described as: Caucasian, 5"4" tall with a medium build, blue eyes and white, medium length hair. He was last seen wearing a brown & orange plaid shirt and blue jeans. The Winnipeg Police Service is concerned for his well-being.
