Shots Fired Investigation - C16-227700
   
Property Damage - No Injuries Reported:
   
On October 30, 2016 at approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service, including Patrol members, the Tactical Support Team, Canine and Air1 responded to reports of shots fired inside a business located in the 700 block of William Avenue.
   
At this stage of the investigation, it appears multiple suspects confronted an unknown male victim while inside the lobby of a business. It is believed that at least one suspect was armed with a firearm during the encounter. After having brief contact with the suspects, the victim was observed to flee at which time a firearm discharge occurred.
   
No injuries have been reported at this time and all involved persons fled the area.
   
Officers have confirmed property damage due to the firearm discharge. Spent casings have been located and seized for further analysis.
   
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
   
The suspects fled in a vehicle described as a black/charcoal SUV having a roof rack.
   
The suspects are described as:
   
1 - Male, Aboriginal in appearance, medium build black hair, some facial hair and believed to be in possession of a firearm.
   
2 - Male, Black, approximately 6'1" tall, skinny build and facial hair.
