DIVISION 11COMMUNITY SUPPORT UNIT - DRUG INVESTIGATION - ARRESTS R13-38432
Recently, Division 11 Community Support Unit members with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, Patrol members and the Marihuana Grow Operation (MGO) Unit, became involved in a drug investigation.
 
As a result, two Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrants were executed (June 6th) at residences located in the 600 block of Elgin Avenue and 600 block of Ross Avenue.
 
Searches of these residences revealed the following items:
 
13 – Marihuana Plants – estimated street value over $14,000.00
Grow Operation Equipment valued at $2000.00
18 oz. of dried Marihuana – estimated street value $3600.00
2 Rocks of Cocaine – estimated street value $40.00
Prescription Medication
$4000.00 Canadian Currency
 
A 56 year-old-male, 42 year-old-male and 33 year-old-male have been charged or are facing the following drug related offences:
 
56 year-old – Trafficking in Controlled Drug or Substance – Marihuana, Trafficking in Controlled Drug or Substance – Other x 2 and Possess Proceeds of Crime.
 
42 year-old Tracey RUSSELL has been charged with the following offences due to his alleged involvement: Production of Controlled Substance – Marihuana, Possessing Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marihuana, Possessing Controlled Drug or Substance - Cocaine and Breach of Probation.
 
33 year-old – Possessing Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marihuana, Possessing Substance for Purposes of Trafficking – other x 2 and Fail to Comply with Condition Recognizance.   
 
The 42 year-old-male was detained and the others were released on a Promise to Appear.

UPDATE - MISSING PERSON – HENRY FLEURY C13-108865
As previously released - The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 72 year-old-male, Henry FLEURY.
 
UPDATE: FLEURY was observed in the downtown area of Winnipeg on Thursday, June 6th at approximately 10:30 p.m. He remains missing at this time. 
 
FLEURY is described as: 5'9" tall, 130 lbs., short black hair, glasses, and tattoos on both arms. He is wearing a black leather hat with "Mr Freeze" written on it, blue plaid shirt over a white t-shirt, torn black jeans, white runners and possibly carrying a black and cream coloured jacket. 
 
                                       
 
The Winnipeg Police Service is concerned for FLEURY'S well-being.
 
Anyone with any information regarding FLEURY'S whereabouts is asked to contact The Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON R13-38761
On June 4, 2013 at approximately 9:15 a.m., an unknown male was observed in the area of Brazier Street, between Poplar Avenue and McIntosh Avenue video recording children playing in the area.
 
The male made no contact with the children, however his behaviour was perceived as being suspicious in nature.
 
The male left the area in a pick-up truck after noticing a 10 year female had observed him. The matter was then reported to police.
 
The male is described as:
 
Caucasian, mid-thirties, 5'10" – 6'0" tall, average build, wearing a blue t-shirt and grey/beige pants.
 
The male left the area in ared coloured pick-up truck.
 
Members of the East District Crime Unit have been advised.

MISSING PERSON – HENRY FLEURY C13-108865

GROW OPERATION – ARREST R13-37683
On June 4, 2013 at approximately 8:15 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service Marihuana Grow Operation (MGO) Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and Uniform Patrol, executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence located in the 700 block of McLeod Avenue.
 
Upon execution, a male suspect was observed fleeing the home. He was apprehended in the rear yard and arrested.
 
A search of the home revealed the following:
 
459 Marihuana Plants – estimated street value $514,000.00
Grow Operation Equipment – valued at $17,000.00
 
A 46 year-old-male is facing the following charges:
 
Production of Controlled Substance – Marihuana
Possessing Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marihuana
Theft of Telecommunications – Over   
 
He was released on a Promise to Appear.

The Winnipeg Police Service will be holding an Unclaimed Goods Auction on Sunday, June 9, 2013.  The auction will be held at Associated Auto Auction, 7130 Roblin Boulevard, Headingley, Manitoba.
