Thelma KRULL Investigation C15-145099
Public Support Still Needed:
Members of the Homicide Unit continue to actively investigate the disappearance of 57 year old Thelma KRULL, who was last seen on the morning of Saturday, July 11, 2015.
Following our news release on July 11, 2016, information was received regarding a possible sighting of Thelma KRULL in the area of Kimberly Avenue, east of Gateway Road. A female with similar descriptors of Thelma KRULL was reported to be in the company of a heavy set male, aboriginal in appearance, approximately 5'8" tall, 270 lbs., with a bowl style haircut.
Clearly, this information has the potential to impact the investigation; however more information is required to ultimately determine its relevance.
Homicide investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information regarding this possible sighting of Thelma in the presence of an aboriginal male in the area of Kimberly Avenue East of Gateway Road. As previously released- Thelma went for a walk at 7:23 a.m. on July 11, 2015. It is believed that she walked from her residence to the area known as Civic Park. Thelma arrived in this area at approximately 8:00 a.m., where she experienced some form of distress.
Items belonging to Thelma have been recovered which include her glasses and cellular phone.
Thelma is described as a Caucasian female, 5'4" tall, 170 pounds and short dyed blonde hair with a purple streak. Investigators would like to remind the public that Thelma was last seen wearing the following items:
- Reddish orange t-shirt (this is a bright coloured shirt)
- ¾ length black Capri style pants
- Black fanny pack
- tan / brown hiking style boots / shoes
The Winnipeg Police Service appreciates the on-going support by members of the public and media regarding this investigation.
