Sunday, October 23, 2016 Update - Arson Arrests - C16-147165 As previously released -On July 16, 2016 at approximately 4:15 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a fire in a single-family residence within the 500 block of Young Street. Four occupants inside the residence managed to escape. Two youth sustained minor injuries and were treated and released from hospital. A 25 year old male and 20 year old female sustained more serious injuries due to the fire. The investigation continued by members of the Winnipeg Police Service Arson Unit and the Office of the Fire Commissioner who determined the fire to be arson. Damage was estimated at over $100,000.00. Several suspects were identified who allegedly targeted the home and threw multiple incendiary devices through different windows, causing a serious fire. On September 15, 2016, Dallas River PERREAULT, 20 years was arrested and charged with: * Arson Causing Damage to Property * Arson with Disregard for Human Life On October 22, 2016, Michael Kevin NDLOVU, 26 years was located and arrested. He has been charged with the following offences: * Arson Causing Damage to Property * Arson with Disregard for Human Life x 2 * Possession of Incendiary Device Both were remanded into custody. The investigation continues. Stabbing Arrest - C16-221149 On October 22, 2016 at approximately 6:40 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 100 block of Beliveau Road regarding a neighbour dispute. It's alleged that a 36 year old female resident stabbed a 27 year old female resident in the upper body, causing a serious injury. The victim is in stable condition and the female suspect has been arrested. The investigation continued by members of the East District Crime Unit. The 36 year old female is facing the following charges: * Aggravated Assault * Possession of a Weapon.
