The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 15 year old female, Jay Lynn MCIVOR.
 
MCIVOR was last seen on April 25, 2012 at 1225hrs in the Tuxedo area of Winnipeg.
 
MCIVOR is at high risk for victimization and investigators are concerned for her well-being.
 
MCIVOR is described as Aboriginal, 5'7, 125lbs, medium-length straight brown hair and brown eyes.  
 
MCIVOR was last seen wearing blue pants, black jacket, blue/green belt and white shirt.

Homicide Update                             C12-73742
 
As previously released, on April 24, 2012 at approximately 2:30 am, members of the Winnipeg Police Service and other emergency personnel responded to the area of Notre Dame Avenue and Balmoral Street regarding a stabbing incident.
 
A 26 year old male was located lying on the roadway.
 
He was transported to hospital and on April 27, 2012 he succumbed to his injuries.
 
The victim has been identified as Daniel William Hall, 26 years of Winnipeg.
 
The investigation is continuing by the Homicide Unit and Division 11 Crime Unit.
 
 
Break and Enter                                 C12-75226
 
Between April 25, 2012 and April 26, 2012 an unoccupied residence was forcibly entered by unknown suspects in the 200 block of Youville Street.
 
Once inside the suspects stole various items which included 2 Emerald Tree Boa Snakes. The snakes are described as one male and one female, both are bright lime green in colour. They both measure approximately 4 ½ feet in length and have oversized heads.

Stabbing                                     C12-77113
 
On April 28th, 2012 at approximately 8:00 pm, the victim was riding his bicycle in the area of Magnus Avenue, and Charles Street.
 
He was approached and assaulted by four unknown male suspects. During the assault he sustained a stab wound to his lower body and was transported to hospital in stable condition.
 
No suspect information is available at this time.
 
Division 13 Crime Unit is continuing to investigate.
 
 
Robbery                                        C12-77625
 
On April 28th, 2012 at approximately 11:30 pm, the victim was in the area of Kennedy Street and Sargent Avenue. The victim was then assaulted by two unknown males and received injuries to his upper body. The suspects fled after obtaining personal property and as a result of the assault, the victim was transported to hospital in stable condition. No suspect information is available at this time.
 
Division 11 Crime Unit is continuing to investigate.
 
 
Stabbing                                         C12-77408
 
On April 29th,2012 at approximately 3:00 am the victim was at a residence in the 200 block of Brazier Street. While in the residence an altercation occurred and the victim was stabbed in the upper body. He was transported to hospital in stable condition. No suspect information is available at this time.
 
Division 14 Crime Unit is continuing to investigate.

Robbery Arrests                                 C12-75525
 
On April 26th, 2012 at approximately 8:00 PM, two female youths attended to a business in the 600 block of Selkirk Avenue. Once inside they attended to the back of the store where they located a storage room, and stole a number of cartons of cigarettes.
 
The owner of the store observed this and confronted the youths at which time one youth produced a knife and an altercation occurred. The youths fled out the front door of the store where a passing Winnipeg Police unit observed them fleeing and gave chase.
 
The youths were arrested in the vicinity and as a result of the investigation by Division 13 General Patrol Units, and the Division 13 Crime Unit, two 16 year old females are facing Robbery and Breach of Court Order charges.
 
They were both detained at the Manitoba Youth Center.
 
 
Homicide                                              C12-73742
 
As previously released, on April 24, 2012 at approximately 2:30 am, members of the Winnipeg Police Service and other emergency personnel responded to the area of Notre Dame Avenue and Balmoral Street regarding a stabbing incident.
 
A 26 year old male was located lying on the roadway.
 
He was transported to hospital where he has now succumbed to his injuries.
 
The Homicide Unit and Divisional Detectives are investigating.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING A PEDESTRIAN C12-75319
On April 26, 2012, at approximately 2:50 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of Pembina Highway and Kirkbridge Drive regarding a serious motor vehicle collision, involving a 13 year old male pedestrian.
 
The investigation has revealed that the pedestrian was struck by a southbound Pontiac van, which was being operated by a 44 year old female driver. As a result of the collision, the pedestrian sustained injuries.
 
The roadway was closed for a period of time.
 
The investigation is continuing.
 
 
GROW OPERATION – ARREST R12-34286
On April 26, 2012, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Green Team, Vice Unit with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant at a residence located in the 100 block of Seven Oaks Avenue.
 
A 52 year old male was arrested at that time.
 
A search of the premise revealed a marihuana grow operation which resulted in the seizing of the following:
 
  • 49 Marihuana plants – estimated street value $54,880.00
  • 1 ounce of dry Marihuana – estimated street value $240.00
  • Grow operation equipment valued at $1500.00
The male was released on a Promise to Appear.
 
 
FIRE C12-75757
On April 27, 2012, at approximately 4:30 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a working fire at a residence located in the 700 block of Redwood Avenue.
 
A 38 year old female exited the home and was not injured. Damage is estimated at $20,000.00.
 
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by members of the Arson Strike Fore.

PAGEE is currently wanted for Failing to Comply with Conditions of his Recognizance x 2. As a result, an arrest warrant has been issued.
 

 
PAGEE is described as: Male, Caucasian, 5'11" tall, 179 lbs., brown wavy hair, brown eyes and a medium build.
 
PAGEE is not to be approached.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON – ARRESTS C12-73523
Between April 23 and April 24, 2012, members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to numerous calls for service regarding complaints of a vehicle and occupants discharging a paintball gun at pedestrians in the North Kildonan area of the city.
 
Officers responded to the area. On April 24, 2012 at approximately 7:45 p.m., members of the Canine Unit located the suspect vehicle in the area Chief Peguis Trail and Gateway Road resulting in a traffic stop. It was at this time a 17 year old male and 18 year old male were arrested and found to be in possession of a paintball gun, Air soft gun and a quantity of paintballs.
 
Due to the efforts of Uniform Patrol members, both males are facing the following offences:
 
·        Assault with a Weapon x 9
·        Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
 
Both males were released on a Promise to Appear.
 
 
FIRE C12-74852
On April 25, 2012, at approximately 7:45 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a working fire incident located in the 400 block of Boyd Avenue.
 
Damage is estimated at $75,000.00. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
 
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Arson Strike Fore.

STABBING INVESTIGATION C12-75041
On April 26, 2012, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Winnipeg Police Service members responded to a stabbing incident in the area of the 600 block of Notre Dame Avenue.
 
Attending members identified a 31 year old male with lower body injuries.
 
The investigation has revealed that the victim had exited a business after purchasing liquor when he was confronted by an unknown male. It is at this time the victim was stabbed and robbed of his property.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, medium length dark hair, clean shaven, 6'00" tall and 175 lbs.

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 16 year old female, Sarah COX. Cox was last seen on April 2, 2012 in the downtown area of Winnipeg.
 
 
 
Cox is described as: Caucasian, 5'6" tall, 125 lbs, with medium length blonde hair, and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants, a white and black sweater, and black boots.
 
The Winnipeg Police Service considers COX to be a person in need of protection as she is at high risk of being exploited or victimized and investigators are concerned for her well-being.

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 14 year old male, Jeremy DUMAS. He was last seen in the River East area of Winnipeg on April 10, 2012.
 
 
DUMAS is described as: Aboriginal, 5'7" tall and weighs approximately 160 lbs. He has medium length black hair, brown eyes, and a medium build.   He was last seen wearing a green jacket, and a grey sweatshirt. He is known to frequent the Downtown area, and may have travelled to Flin Flon, Manitoba.

PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUIRED – STABBING INVESTIGATION C12-73742
As previously released, on April 24, 2012, at approximately 2:30 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service and other emergency personnel responded to the area of Notre Dame Avenue and Balmoral Street regarding a stabbing incident.
 
Medical personnel located an injured 26 year old male lying in the roadway that was initially observed by a passerby.
 
Officers secured the area, however no arrests have been made at this time.
 
Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Division 11 Crime Unit with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.
 
Investigators are seeking the public's assistance regarding this matter. Anyone who may have been in the area and has any information regarding the incident is asked to contact police at 204-986-6668 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
  
FIRE C12-74225
On April, 24, 2012 at approximately 7:40 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service and other emergency personnel responded to the north river bank near the walking path at the Forks for a working fire.
 
Several portable docks located at this location were engulfed in flames, which spread to a number of trees in the surrounding area. Damage is estimated at approximately $30,000.00. No injuries have been reported.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Arson Strike Force.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – ARRESTS C12-74234
On April 24, 2012, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Uniform Patrol members responded to a business located in the 500 block of Panet Road regarding a robbery incident.
 
The investigation has revealed that two armed male suspects, while concealing their identity, entered the store and confronted a 23 year old male employee. Both suspects proceeded behind the counter and obtained undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes prior to fleeing. The victim was not injured.
 
Due to the efforts of Uniform Patrol members and the Canine Unit, both suspects were located and arrested a short time later in the area of Talbot Avenue and Kent Road.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit. A full recovery of the stolen property and weapons used by the suspects was made.  
 
Dustine Tyler BRUNEAU, 20 years has been charged with the following offences due to his alleged involvement: Robbery with a Weapon and Disguise with Intent.
 
Sheldon Luke FREDETTE, 22 years has been charged with the following offences due to his alleged involvement: Robbery with a Weapon, Disguise with Intent, Fail to Comply with Condition Recognizance and Breach Probation x 2.
 
Both were detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
 
DRUG AND WEAPON ARREST C12-74343
On April 24, 2012, at approximately 10:47 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service Street Crime Unit initiated a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle and occupant in the 500 block of Sargent Avenue. It was determined the vehicle plates had previously been stolen. 
 
After further investigation, officers located and seized the following items from within the vehicle:
 
·        Machete  
·        Knife
·        .22 Calibre Ammunition X 45
·        Shotgun Shells X 4
·        2.46 grams of Methamphetamine - estimated street value of $240.00
·        4 grams of Marihuana - estimated street value of $40.00
·        $267.00 - Canadian Currency
·        Miscellaneous Drug Paraphernalia
 
A 28 year old male is facing the following charges:
 
·        Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose x 2
·        Possession Firearm/Ammunition while Prohibited x 2
·        Possess for Purpose of Trafficking  
·        Possession of Drug or Substance  
·        Possess Proceeds of Crime
·        Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00
·        Fail to Comply Condition of Undertaking
·        Drive Disqualified (Highway Traffic Act)
 
The male has been released on a Promise to Appear.
