Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Saturday, October 27, 2012     HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION C12-217005 On October 26, 2012, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Winnipeg Police Service members, including other emergency personnel responded to the area of the 500 block of Sargent Avenue regarding reports of an injured male.   Attending members located a 49 year old male with serious upper body injuries consistent with being stabbed. The male was transported from the scene and later pronounced deceased.   The name of the deceased will not be released at this time.   Members of the Homicide Unit have been notified and continue to investigate.   An autopsy is pending.     Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact police at 204 986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).        For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
