COMMERCIAL ROBBERY   C12-220799
On Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at approximately 10:00 p.m., General Patrol Members responded to the first 100 block of Britannica Road for the report of a commercial robbery of a convenience store.
 
Attending members learned that a lone male armed with a weapon and wearing a disguise attended to the store and approached the lone 26 year old female employee. The suspect demanded and stole an undisclosed amount of lottery tickets and cash before fleeing from the store.
 
The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, 5'9" tall with a large build.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
COMMERICAL ROBBERY   C12-220830
On Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at approximately 10:50 p.m. Winnipeg Police Service members responded to a business within the 100 block of St Anne's Road for the report of a commercial robbery that had just occurred.
 
Upon arrival officers learned that a male and female armed with a weapon had entered the store, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects then fled the store on foot. 
 
Three employees, a female 21 years of age and two males, 29 & 56 years of age were in the store at the time of the incident. No one was injured during the incident.
 
The first suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, early 20s, taller with a slim build.
 
The second suspect is described as: Female, Aboriginal in appearance, dark hair, early 20's, short with a medium build. 
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident or the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
COMMERICAL ROBBERY    C12-220980
On Thursday, November 1, 2012 at approximately 4:15 a.m., Winnipeg Police Service members attended to a convenience store in the 700 block of Mountain Avenue for the report of a commercial robbery that had just occurred.
 
Upon arrival officers learned that a male armed with a weapon had entered the store, demanded and received cigarettes and money. The suspect fled the store on foot.
 
Two employees, a 40 year old male and 61 year old female were in the store at the time of the incident. Neither was injured during the incident.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 20-25 years of age, 5'4"-5'8" in height, small-medium build with a goatee.
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident or the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
WEAPONS ARRESTS   C12-115756
On Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at approximately 3:15 p.m., Division 13 General Patrol Members while patrolling in the area of Powers Street and Flora Avenue initiated a weapons investigation.
 
Police while on active patrol, made contact with two males walking in the area. Subsequent investigation lead to the seizure of a collapsible baton and a loaded handgun that the males had in their possession.
 
Both suspects were arrested and taken into custody.
 
A 14 year old male of Winnipeg has been charged with: 
  • Personation with Intent – intent to gain advantage
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Careless Use of Firearm
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon
  • Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
  • Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/Ammunition
 
He was detained in custody.
 
A 14 year old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:
  • Careless Use of Firearm
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/Ammunition
  • Fail to Comply with Condition Undertaking X 2
 
He was detained in custody.
