Friday, June 14, 2013     STOLEN VEHICLE – IMPAIRED DRIVING – ARRESTS R13-40649 On June 13, 2013 at approximately 6:50 a.m., a Traffic Unit member observed a stolen Chevrolet Cavalier, having two occupants, being operated in the area of Rupert Avenue and King Street.   The driver was observed running a red light resulting in a traffic stop in the area. Upon making contact, the driver displayed signs of being impaired by alcohol.   It was also confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day from the area of Portage Avenue and Main Street.   The driver was arrested at which time he attempted to flee from the arresting officer. After a brief pursuit, the male suspect was taken into custody.
