Tuesday, June 18, 2013 COMMERCIAL ROBBERY ARREST C13-106013 As previously released - on June 2, 2013 at approximately 1:55 a.m., officers responded to a gas bar located in the 1800 block of Portage Avenue regarding a robbery incident. An armed male suspect confronted a 22 year-old-male employee and robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cigarettes. The employee was not injured and the suspect fled the area on foot. The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit. A picture of the suspect was released to the media and the public's assistance was requested in identifying the male. On June 17, 2013 at approximately 4:00 p.m. the accused was located in the western part of the city and taken into custody without incident. Brett Raymond LAVALLEE, 18 years of Winnipeg is facing several charges and has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre. RESIDENTIAL ROBBERY ARREST C13-117974 On Monday, June 17, 2013 shortly after 3:30 p.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to the 400 block of Stella Avenue for the report of a residential robbery that had just occurred. Attending officers arrived to find that one of the suspects was being held by the victims and took him into custody. The investigation revealed that the accused along with two yet to be arrested males had forced their way into the residence and proceeded to rob the occupants. As the suspects fled the residence they were chased by one of the victims, who with the assistance of friends that had just arrived managed to apprehend one of the suspects and hold him for police. The five victims, four male and one female were not injured during the robbery however one victim suffered non-life threatening injuries while apprehending the suspect. Craig Allan Vincent SOLDAT, 22 years of Winnipeg has been charged with multiple offences and has been detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre. The investigation is continuing by members of the District 3 Crimes Unit. COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C13-118013 On Monday, June 17, 2013 at approximately 5:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 100 block of Marion Street for the report of a commercial robbery. Responding officers met with the 18 year old employee who advised that a lone male had entered the store and proceeded to steal merchandise. When she approached the male he physically assaulted her and fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as: Caucasian, approximately 6' in height with a medium build and dirty blonde hair. The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C13-118378 On Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at approximately 2:30 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to a convenience store in the 300 block of Henderson Highway for the report of a commercial robbery. Officers met with the 40 year old male employee who advised that a lone male, armed with a weapon had entered the store and attended to the counter. The suspect demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cigarettes after which he fled the store. The employee was not hurt during the incident. The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 5'8" in height, 20-25 years of age, clean shaven. The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
