PERSON ROBBERY ARRESTS C13-118327
On Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at approximately 12:30 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched for the report of a male having just been robbed in the area of McMeans Avenue East and Kildare Avenue East.
Several units, including General Patrol, Canine and the Tactical Support Team converged on the area. Three males were located and taken into custody.
The 23 year old male victim advised that he had been walking home when he was approached by the three males, two of which were armed. The males demanded and received personal property from the victim.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
Two of the accused, 16 & 17 years of age were detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre and have been charged with robbery related offences.
A 16 year old male was released on a Promise to Appear and is facing robbery related charges.
FINANCIAL ROBBERIES C13-118679 & C13-118745
On Tuesday, June 18, 2013 Winnipeg Police Service members responded to two financial robberies.
The first occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Portage Avenue, the second at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the 1400 block of Portage Avenue.
Attending members learned that in each incident a lone male had approached the teller and produced a note indicating that he had a weapon and demanding money. No weapon was seen. In both robberies the male obtained an undisclosed amount of money and then fled.
The suspect is described as: Black, approximately 5'5" in height, 35-40 years of age with a shaved/bald head.

THEFT UNDER / STOLEN MEDICATIONS - R13-042094
On Tuesday, June 18, 2013 shortly after 3:30 p.m. the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of a theft having just occurred.
Attending officers met with the two male victims, one of whom is confined to a wheelchair. It was learned that the two had been in the 400 block of Pacific Avenue when one of them attended to a residence. The second victim remained outside and it was at this time an unknown male grabbed a duffel bag which was hanging on the handle of the wheelchair. The bag contained property belonging to both off of the victims.
Of note, the bag contained medications including:
- 240 Tylenol 3
- 177 Xanax
- 59 Restoril
There is no suspect description.
The Winnipeg Police Service would like to remind the public that taking large quantities of these medications alone or in combination with other drugs or alcohol could be dangerous to your health or fatal.
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C13-119084
On Tuesday, June 18, 2013 shortly after 11:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a commercial robbery that occurred in the 800 block of Henderson Highway.
Officers met with 38 year old employee who related that a lone male armed with a weapon entered the restaurant. The male demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money after which he fled on foot.
The employee was not injured.
The suspect is described as: Caucasian, 30 years of age, 5'9" in height with a medium to heavy build.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON C13-119160
On Wednesday, June 19, 2013 shortly after 12:30 a.m. the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of an assault that had just occurred in the 200 block of Edison Avenue.
Attending officers met with two adult male victims who advised that they had observed an unknown male inside a neighbour's vehicle. When they confronted the male he produced a weapon and proceeded to assault both victims. The suspect then fled on foot.
Both victims were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Members of the Canine unit attended however a search of the area was unsuccessful.
The suspect is described as: Native in appearance, 17-22 years of age, approximately 6' in height with a slender build, short dark hair and a mole on his face.
