MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING A CYCLIST  C13-150001
On July 28, 2013 at approximately 10:50 p.m. Emergency Services Personnel responded to the intersection of Ellice Avenue and Arlington Street for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist. 
 
The 48-year-old male cyclist was struck by a grey Chrysler Sebring travelling northbound on Arlington Street.  As a result of the collision, the cyclist sustained upper body injuries.
 
The 59-year-old male driver of the Chrysler Sebring remained on scene. 
 
This investigation is continuing by members of the Central Traffic Unit.  Investigators are requesting anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken with police to contact them at (204) 986-6271. 

 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY ARREST                           C13-149080
On Saturday, July 27, 2013 shortly before 7:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to a convenience store in the 500 block of William Avenue for the report of a commercial robbery.
 
Responding members met with a 34-year-old female clerk who advised that an armed lone male suspect attended to the counter and demanded cash.  The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
 
The clerk was not injured during the incident.
 
A short time later, patrolling Division 11 Uniform officers located the suspect in the area of the 600 block of Balmoral Street where he was taken into custody without incident.
 
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation. 
 
As a result of his alleged involvement, Dustin Everett Dale MCGEE, 32 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery with weapon.
 
MCGEE has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
