Friday, August 30, 2013 COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – C13-173871 On Thursday, August 29, 2013 shortly after 9:30 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 900 block of Main Street for the report of a commercial robbery.   Responding officers met with the store employees who advised that a lone male armed with a weapon had entered the store, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money.  He then fled on foot.   Neither clerk was injured during the incident.   The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 20-25 years of age, 5'10" - 6' tall, approximately 200 pounds with a chubby build and short black hair.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).     COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – C13-174250 On Thursday, August 29, 2013 shortly before 7:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to a convenience store in the 900 block of Main Street for the report of a commercial robbery.   Officers met with the clerk who advised that a lone male had entered the store and attended to the counter.  He produced a weapon and unsuccessfully attempted to grab money from the till after which he fled on foot.   The clerk was not injured during the incident.   The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 35 years of age, 5'10" tall with a heavy/stocky build, short black hair and facial stubble.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
