Sunday, October 26, 2014 Serious Motor Vehicle Collision – C14-229022 On October 26, 2014 at approximately 2:40 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a hit and run motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the area of Marbury Road and Mapleglen Drive. At this time, the investigation has revealed that the occupants of two vehicles became involved in dispute, possible due to manner of driving. At one point, the occupants of a black, Infiniti G35 stopped in the area and a 31 year-old male passenger exited the vehicle in attempt to speak with the other driver. The driver of the suspect vehicle, still in the area, suddenly drove in the direction of the male passenger, now out in the roadway, striking him while travelling at a high rate of speed. The victim was transported from the scene in critical condition. The suspect vehicle fled the area and is described as follows: Newer model, silver, Dodge Charger – front end damage and possibly windshield damage due to the collision. Members of the Central Traffic Unit continue to investigate.
