Shots Fired Update – Arrests - C14-65875
As previously released, on April 1, 2014 shortly after 1:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to a residence within the 100 block of Walnut Street for reports of shots being fired. 
 
Upon arrival, officers located property damage consistent with a firearm being discharged.
 
There were no reported injuries.
 
This investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit who, with the assistance of the Forensic Services Unit, were able to link two suspects to the incident.
 
On October 20th officers located and arrested one of the suspects without incident.
 
Tamim AHMADZAI 19 years of Winnipeg was charged with numerous firearms related offences for his alleged involvement and subsequently detained in custody.
 
On November 27th the second suspect was arrested.
 
Hamed SHAHNAWAZ 25 years of Brampton, Ontario has been charged with numerous firearms related offences for his alleged involvement and was detained in custody.
 
 
Stabbing – C14-254081
On November 28, 2014 shortly after 2:30 a.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 800 block of Main Street for the report of a stabbing.
 
Upon arrival, four victims were located and transported to hospital.  All are listed in stable condition.
 
One male is currently in custody and the investigation is continuing by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.
