Human Trafficking Arrest – R14-52407
Since the summer of 2014 Members of the Winnipeg Police Service Counter Exploitation Unit have been involved in an investigation regarding the victimization of a 25-year-old female.
 
Investigation revealed that the suspect and victim had initially met in Winnipeg and later travelled together to Brandon, Manitoba.  From March of 2014 till mid-October the victim was forced to work as an escort.  During that time the accused would advertise, for a fee, the sexual services of the victim.  Throughout the time period the accused threatened the victim with violence should she not perform the work and on one occasion did physically assault her.
 
A warrant of arrest was obtained and on November 6th the accused was located and arrested without incident in the downtown area of Winnipeg.
 
Dale Richard AYMONT 43 years of Winnipeg has been charged with the following offences for his alleged involvement:

  • Trafficking in Persons
  • Material Benefit Resulting from Trafficking in Persons
  • Living on Avails of Prostitution
  • Assault
  • Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking

He was detained in custody.
