Commercial Robbery- C14-247776
On November 19, 2014 shortly before 9:30 p.m. a lone male attended to a restaurant within the 1000 block of Notre Dame Avenue. Once inside the male, whose face was concealed, immediately instructed the employee to get down on the ground while demanding money.

The suspect attended to the cash register and removed an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the restaurant via the front door.

The suspect is described as: Male, approximately 5'6" tall with a skinny- medium build.  He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, dark pants and a black neck warmer covering his face.   

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone who has any information regarding the incident or the suspect is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).

 
Break and Enter- Arrests- C14-247264
On November 19, 2014shortly after 2:30 a.m., two males and a female attended to the area of 500 block of Maryland Avenue. Once there they proceeded to break the rear windows on four vehicles that were parked in the area as well as enter a pick-up truck  and remove several tools.

The suspects then attempted to gain entry into a nearby residence by breaking a window. The commotion alerted the homeowners who immediately contacted police.   

Upon arrival, officers observed the suspects in the rear lane, and after a brief foot pursuit, the two of the suspects were taken into custody nearby without incident. 

A short time later, while continuing to search for the outstanding suspect, police received a report of a male attempting to break into a residence within the 600 block of Sherbrook Street. A brief foot chase ensued resulting in a 24-year-old male being taken into custody.

Members of the Division 11 Crime Unit continued with the investigation were it was learned that the suspects had arrived in two vehicles that had been previously reported stolen.  

Both stolen vehicles were recovered. 

As a result of their alleged involvement, Vincent Michael MARTEL, 22 years, Lincoln ROSS, 24 years and Miranda PASCAL, 22 years, all from Winnipeg, are facing a number of charges including Break & Enter with Intent, Mischief Under $5000, Theft Over $5000 and Possession of Property obtained by Crime.

All three have been remanded into custody.


Vehicles Damaged-  C14-247248
On November 19, 2014 shortly after 1:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service members responded to the area of the 1000 block of Garwood Street for the report of the sounds of glass breaking.  A lone male, wearing dark clothing was observed leaving the area.

Upon arrival officers located a vehicle with a smashed window. An extensive ground search was undertaken by a number of officers including two canine units, which met with negative results.

During the search of the area, officers discovered 24 vehicles that had been damaged within the area between Academy Road, Stafford Street, Garwood Street and Wilton Street.

This investigation is continuing by members of the West District Crime Unit. Anyone who may have any information regarding these incidents or the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
