Commercial Robbery Arrests C14-256810
On December 1, 2014 at approximately 8:30 p.m., a male entered a small business located in the 500 block of Ellice Avenue. The male then went to the front counter and attempted to make a purchase, however he did not have enough money to complete the transaction. As a result, an argument erupted between the male and staff. He eventually left the store.
A short time later, the male, along with a second male returned to the business and confronted the store owner. Both males began physically assaulting the owner. One of the males then grabbed the till and threw it onto the floor.
The owner was assaulted further prior to the suspects fleeing with merchandise.
Police were notified and both males were located nearby and arrested by Patrol members.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued the investigation.

Ronald Valentine ABRAHAM, 24 years-old has been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement and remanded into custody:

On December 2, 2014 at approximately 2:10 a.m., a male suspect entered a convenience store located in the 600 block of Watt Street.
Once inside, the suspect concealed his identity and confronted staff with a knife. He then demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect eventually fled with an undisclosed amount. No one was injured.
Patrol members, along with members of the Canine Unit and AIR1 located and arrested the suspect in the area of Gateway Road and Lindhurst Avenue. The stolen property was recovered and two weapons were seized.
