Serious Motor Vehicle Collision Update –
C14-269692

As previously released, on December 18, 2014 at approximately 10:30 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of McPhillips Street and Jarvis Avenue for the report of a motor vehicle collision involving pedestrians.
 
A 70-year-old female was transported to hospital in critical condition.  She has since succumbed to her injuries.

Her name will not be released.
 
A 60-year-old male was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
 
Investigation by members of the Central Traffic Unit revealed that a vehicle was travelling in the south bound lanes of McPhillips when the two pedestrians who had been attempting to cross westbound across McPhillips were struck.
 
The driver was interviewed and no charges are expected.
