Friday, January 30, 2015   Passing of a Legend and a K9 Hero   January 28, 2015, was a sad day for our Service as Police Service Dog (PSD) Judge was laid to rest due. PSD Judge was the most successful canine in the history of our Service. PSD Judge was born on June 18, 2003, in the Service's breeding program and was raised by his handler Detective Sergeant Taylor.  This legendary team worked the streets for over 10 years, amassing over 500 arrests and making them the most successful K9 team in Winnipeg, if not all of Canada. In April 2014, Judge retired to be with his handler and family, enjoying his well-deserved rest and relaxation. PSD Judge's legend will live on as he sired 23 offspring that are currently working in Canada and the United States.
