FESTIVE SEASON CHECKSTOP PROGRAM - WEEK #5 (Dec 29, 30 &31) RESULTS
The Winnipeg Police Service Central Traffic Unit has provided the results from the fifth week of the Festive Season Check Stop Program.
 
174 - vehicles stopped
23   - roadside breath tests administered
3     - ASD WARNS IE: 24 hr drivers licence suspensions
1     - ASD FAIL
7     - Drive Impaired/Drive Over 80mg%/Refusal charges
31   - PONS
 

FESTIVE SEASON CHECKSTOP PROGRAM – SEASON RESULTS
The Winnipeg Police Service Central Traffic Unit has provided the final results from the Festive Season Check Stop Program.
 
2229 - vehicles stopped
233   - roadside breath tests administered
33     - of those were ASD WARNS IE: 24 hr drivers licence suspensions
12     - of those resulted in a ASD FAIL
45     - Drive Impaired/Drive Over 80mg%/Refusal charges
200   - PONS
9       - Other arrests
 
Break down:
Impaired arrests:
Highest BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) - 310 mg%
Lowest BAC - 60 mg%
Average BAC - 143 mg%
 
39 males / 6 females
 
Average age: 38 years
Youngest: 20 years
Oldest: 69 years
