Commercial Robbery Arrests – C15-12140
On January 18, 2015, shortly before 1:00 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to a convenience store in the 2300 block of Ness Avenue for the report of a commercial robbery.
 
Officers learned that two males, with their identities concealed, and one armed with a weapon had entered the store and immediately attended to the counter.  While the armed suspect watched over the lone clerk, the second male proceeded to steal an undisclosed amount of cigarettes.  Both suspects then fled the store.
 
The clerk was not injured.
 
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation and were able to identify the two suspects.
 
On February 5th one of the suspects was located and arrested without incident.
 
Morgan Marcel LECLERC, 20 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Fail to Comply with Probation Order for his alleged involvement:
 
He was detained in custody.
 
On February 23rd the second suspect was located and arrested without incident
 
Richard Scott RAYLAND, 21 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery, Disguise with Intent and Fail to Comply with Probation Order for his alleged involvement.
 
He was detained in custody.
 
 
Male Shot – C15-38688
On February 24, 2015, shortly after 1:30 a.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 200 block of Dufferin Avenue for the report of a male shot.
 
An adult male was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.  He was transported to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable.
 
No further information is available.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
Suspicious Person – C15-36998
On the afternoon of February 21, 2015, members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched for the report of a suspicious person.
 
Officers met with the 13-year-old complainant who advised that at approximately 12:30 that afternoon he had been walking on Wolseley Avenue between Sherbrook Street and Maryland Street.  An unknown male pulled up in a pickup truck, cracked the passenger window and asked for directions.  When the complainant asked where he was trying to go the male replied "Hop in and I can tell you."  The complainant immediately ran home and notified his mother who in turn called police.
 
The vehicle is described as a white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with tinted windows.
 
There is no suspect description.
