Indecent Act Update – Arrest – C15-58761
As previously released on March 24, 2015, shortly before 7:00 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched for the report of an indecent act that had just occurred.

Officers met with the 45-year-old victim who advised that shortly after 6:30 a.m. she had been walking southbound on Orange Street from Bangor Avenue when she observed a male ahead, standing with his back towards her.  As she passed, the male asked "Can you tell me how to get to Polo Park?"  The victim ignored the male and continued walking, followed by the male who was a short distance behind.  The male again asked the same question and when the victim turned, she observed him to be performing an indecent act.  The victim quickened her pace but noted that the male was still following.  Then victim then began to run and was able to put distance between her-self and the male who was last seen at the intersection of Orange Street and Dublin Avenue.  She then contacted police.

The investigation continued by members of the West District Crime Unit and on March 25th a composite of the suspect was released to the media and public.  Later that day his identity was learned.

At approximately 2:00 p.m. the suspect was located and arrested without incident in the downtown area.

Drew WINTINK, 27 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Indecent Act, Fail to Comply with Probation Order and Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking for his alleged involvement.

He was detained in custody.
