Tuesday, April 22nd, 2015     Homicide Victim Identified  C15-78278 As previously reported, on April 20th, 2015 at approximately 12:40 a.m., police and other emergency personnel responded to the area Highfield Street and Chandos Avenue for the report of a Shots call.   An adult male was located in the vicinity suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.   The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Garry GODSON of Winnipeg.   The Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit is continuing the investigation and no further information is available at this time.    Police are requesting anyone with information regarding the matter contact investigators at 986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).     Theft Under – Public Assistance Requested   E15-2277 On April 7th, 2015 Winnipeg Police received a report of a theft that had occurred sometime over the previous several days. A sculpture was stolen from an art exhibition being held in the 300 block of Ross Avenue.   The stolen sculpture is titled 'Dancing David' and is of a male dancing, with one arm raised, measuring approximately 33 cm in height by 18 cm across.  The statue is ceramic and is gold in colour.             Winnipeg Police are requesting the public's assistance in locating this item.
