Community Invited to Join Our Effort to
Restore Our Core!

On May 29th, citizens from across Winnipeg, along with several city departments, came together to address some of the smaller issues on and around Selkirk Avenue.  A general clean-up of the area, including the demolition and removal of a damaged garage took place.
On May 30th, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. community groups, faith based organizations along with Winnipeg Police Service Executive members and front line officers continue with the initiative.  This community mobilization plays a large part in the on-going effort to create safer streets and stronger communities.
At 11:00 a.m. we invite members of the media and public to join us again at the North End Development Centre, 607 Selkirk Avenue, to see what has already been accomplished and observe the work that is still on-going.
Working together we can and will create a culture of safety in Winnipeg.
