Shooting Investigation – C15-117599
On June 7, 2015, shortly before 1:30 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the 400 block of Maryland Street for the report of a male having been shot.
 
An adult male was located suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  He was transported to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable.
 
No further information is available at this time.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).


Stabbing Investigation – C15-117691
On June 7, 2015, at approximately 4:15 a.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 1300 block of Pritchard Avenue for the report of a male stabbed.
 
An adult male was found suffering from apparent stab wounds to the upper body.  He was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
 
Early investigation has revealed that the homeowner had been confronted by two males who had broken into the garage.  The ensuing altercation resulted in the homeowner being stabbed.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.  Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2848 or CrimeStoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
