Commercial Robbery Arrests – C15-119022
On Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at approximately 2:30 p.m., two male suspects entered a food store located in the 800 block of Main Street. One of the males attempted to steal merchandise but was caught by a store employee. The property was recovered and store security requested that the two males leave the business immediately.
 
While being escorted out, the suspects became involved in a physical altercation with store security. This resulted in the 41-year-old male security member being assaulted and slashed with a knife in the upper body. Police were summoned and the suspects fled the area on foot.
 
The victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition, later upgraded to stable.
 
Patrol members, including members of the Tactical Support Team responded. Both suspects were located and taken into custody a short time later in the area of the 200 block of Austin Street North. 
 
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued to investigate.
 
Gregory KESHANE, 30-years-old of Winnipeghas been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:
 
Theft Under $5000.00, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon x 2 and Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Recognizance.
 
Joshua GOOSEHEAD, 25 years-old of Winnipeghas been charged with the following due to his alleged involvement:
 
Assault cause Bodily Harm, Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Recognizance and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order.
 
Both were remanded into custody.
 
 
Commercial Robberies – C15-120734, C15-120971, C15-120972,
C15-120983
On June 10th and June 11th, 2015 between 8:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m., several businesses were robbed involving a lone male suspect.
 
The businesses are as follows:
 

  • 400 block of Academy Road – Gas bar
  • 3500 block of Roblin Boulevard – Convenience store
  • 400 block of Academy Road – Gas bar
  • 1800 block of Wellington Avenue - Convenience store

 
During these incidents, the suspect would attempt to conceal his identity by covering his face with a bandana. Staff members were confronted and an undisclosed amount of merchandise was stolen.
 
No injuries were reported.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, 5'5"- 5'6" tall, 150-160 pounds, in his 30's and brown short hair.  
 
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
