Assault with a Weapon Investigation – C15-144389
On July 10, 2015 at approximately 4:10 p.m., a confrontation occurred between a 23-year-old female victim, an unknown male and a female suspect.
The three made contact while in the area of Sargent Avenue and Spence Street. The two females became involved in a physical altercation at which time the female suspect produced a knife. The victim was stabbed multiple times after which time all parties fled the area.
 
The victim was transported from the scene in critical condition, later upgraded to stable.
 
The female suspect is described as:
 

  • Aboriginal in appearance, 5'5" – 5'6" tall, 25-years-old, thin build and long dark hair in a ponytail. She was wearing: prescription glasses and a multi-coloured full length sun dress with a floral pattern. She retrieved a knife from a white purse she was carrying at the time of the incident. She may have changed her clothing after the incident as she was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt and blue shorts.

 
The involved male is described as Aboriginal in appearance, 6'0" tall, short dark hair, mid 20's, wearing a white t-shirt.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident or suspects involved is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6668 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
