Serious incident - 200 block of River Avenue   C15-138922 & C15-138959
On July 3, 2015, at approximately 10:15 the Winnipeg Police received reports of ‎shots fired or possible explosion at a law firm in the 200 block of River Avenue. 
     
An adult female was located suffering from injuries to her upper body as a result of an apparent explosive device. She was transported to hospital in critical condition. 
     
Several units including the Bomb Unit, Tactical Support Team and uniform members are currently on scene.
     
Officers are currently on scene at a law firm in the 400 block of St Mary s Avenue as well.
     
Several roads in both areas have been closed to traffic. 
     
At this time there is no indication that any other locations are involved. 
     
We believe that we are dealing with a specific, not a general threat. However we are still at the early stages of the investigation.
