Monday, August 10, 2015   Sexual Assault - C15-165384 On August 8, 2015, shortly after midnight, a 34-year-old female was walking southbound in the 800 block of Main Street when she observed an unknown male ride past her on a bike in the opposite direction. A short time later, it's believed that the same male approached her from behind forcing her to the ground. A sexual assault occurred causing the victim to scream for help. Passers-by heard the commotion and came to the aid of the victim. As a result, the suspect fled on his bike in a northbound direction. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 30 years with a medium build, long hair (possibly in a ponytail) and a deep voice. The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit.
