Sexual Assault - C15-165384
On August 8, 2015, shortly after midnight, a 34-year-old female was walking southbound in the 800 block of Main Street when she observed an unknown male ride past her on a bike in the opposite direction.

A short time later, it's believed that the same male approached her from behind forcing her to the ground. A sexual assault occurred causing the victim to scream for help.

Passers-by heard the commotion and came to the aid of the victim. As a result, the suspect fled on his bike in a northbound direction. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 30 years with a medium build, long hair (possibly in a ponytail) and a deep voice.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
