Assist Outside Agency C15-168694
On August 13, 2015, shortly after 1:00 a.m. the Winnipeg Police Service was requested to assist CN Police in regards to a break & enter to a rail car that had just occurred in the area of Dugald Road and Ravenhurst Street.
Several units including AIR1 attended to the area. Members of AIR1 located a suspect and were able to direct CN police officers on the ground to his location. A 50-year-old male of Winnipeg was taken into custody without incident.

Vehicle Break-In Arrest R15-60449
On August 10, 2015, members of the Winnipeg Police Service had contact with a male, known to be active in regards to vehicle break-ins within the downtown area, who had a GPS in his possession. The male indicated that he had found it the previous night and turned it over to the officers. Queries at the time found no report of a recently stolen GPS.
On August 11, 2015, shortly after midnight the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a vehicle break-in that had occurred in a parking lot in the downtown area. Information provided was that the vehicle's front window had been smashed and a GPS had been stolen. Investigators determined that the GPS turned over to officers was the one stolen from the vehicle and that the male who had been in possession of it was responsible for the theft.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. that day investigators located the suspect in the 600 block of Main Street at which time he was taken into custody.
Lawrence Matthew MCPHERSON, 38 yearshas been charged with the following for his alleged involvement:
- Possession of Break In Instruments
- Mischief Under $5000.00
- Theft Under $5000.00
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2
He was detained in custody.
