Assault – C15-270315
On Friday, December 25th, 2015 at approximately 6:00 a.m. Winnipeg Police General Patrol units responded to a report of a male assaulted in the area of Ellice Avenue and Maryland Street.
   
A 23-year old male suffered serious upper body injuries and was transported to hospital, where he remains in stable, but guarded condition.
   
A suspect in this incident is described as:
   

  • Male, aboriginal in appearance
  • Approximately 6 feet in height
  • Thin build
  • Short black hair
  • Wearing all black clothing and red and black coloured high-top runners

 
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in this incident. The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident, or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6668 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
