Commercial Robbery Arrest – C15-269003
On Thursday, December 24th, 2015 at approximately 2:45 a.m. Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a commercial robbery in the 100 block of Regent Avenue. A male had entered a convenience store in the area, with his face concealed by a balaclava, where he produced a weapon and demanded money before fleeing. The lone employee was not injured.
General patrol units responded to the area, assisted by a K9 unit. The Police Service Dog was able to track a suspect through residential streets and ultimately to a business in the 800 block of Regent Avenue.
Tracey Wayne Russell, 45 years of Winnipeg, was charged with:
- Robbery
- Wear Disguise with Intent
- Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Russell was detained in custody.
