5th ANNUAL GUNS Vs. HOSES CHARITY HOCKEY GAME

On Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 7:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service Patrolmen Hockey Club will be playing the Winnipeg Fire Department Fire Fighters Hockey Team in the 5th Annual Guns vs. Hoses Charity Hockey game. The game will be held at the MTS Ice Plex located at 3969 Portage Avenue.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

This event continues to build bridges between the Winnipeg Police Service and the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, strengthening our relationship while raising money for well deserving, important charities. Modelled after the program in New York City where the New York Police Department and the New York Fire Department play in a charity hockey match, the game brings members, their families, friends, and the community together to celebrate the event and the daily life of a Police Officer or Fire-fighter.

Tickets are being sold by each team and are $10.00 each.  Additional tickets will be sold at the door.  There will be prizes which have been donated by the Winnipeg Jets as well as a 50/50 draw.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend.

This year, proceeds raised by the Patrolmen are in support of SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) while the funds raised by the Fire Fighters will be in support of Huntington Disease.
