Update - Homicide Investigation – C16-36822
As previously released - On February 22, 2016 at approximately 10:40 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a residence located in the 200 block of Pritchard Avenue regarding a check the well-being incident.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased female later identified as 41-year-old, Marilyn Rose MUNROE.

Members of the Homicide Unit continue to investigate and request the public's assistance in ascertaining MUNROE'S whereabouts prior to her death.

MUNROE was last seen alive in the area of Selkirk Avenue and Andrews Street on February 12, 2016 at 1:50 p.m.  Police are looking for information regarding MUNRO's whereabouts during the days leading up to Feb 12th as well as her whereabouts after being last seen.  

MUNROE is described as an Aboriginal female, 41 years of age, 5'6" tall and approximately 130 pounds in weight with long dark hair.  She was last seen wearing several layers of sweaters and carrying a plastic bag.

 

Members of the Homicide Unit are requesting to speak with anyone who had contact or observed MUNROE in the week prior to February 12, 2016 or any time after. Anyone who may have had contact with MUNROE during this time or may have further information regarding the investigation is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
