Impaired Driving Arrest – C16-66874
On April 4, 2016, at approximately 9:00 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of Portage Avenue and Woodlands Crescent for the report of a multi-vehicle collision.
   
Responding units arrived to find that five vehicles in total were involved.  An intoxicated woman was arrested at the scene.
   
Investigation revealed that the accused was driving westbound on Portage Avenue when she struck and went over the median, colliding with eastbound vehicles.  Several people were taken to hospital in stable condition.
   
While in custody, the accused physically assaulted the arresting officers.
   
36-year-old female of Winnipeg has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired and Assault a Peace Officer x 2.
   
She was released via a Promise to Appear.
