Wednesday, April 6, 2016 Marihuana Grow Operation Arrests C16-67045 On April 5, 2016, at approximately 3:00 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Boyd Avenue for the report of a working fire. No fire was located, however an active marihuana grow operation was found to be in existence.
The investigation continued by members of the Marihuana Grow Operation Unit, who obtained a Controlled Drugs and Substances Search Warrant. The subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of the following: - 165 Marihuana plants with an estimated street value of $184,800.00
- Eight pounds of dry marihuana with an estimated street value of $20,000.00
- Grow operation equipment valued at $7,320.00
A 43-year-old male and 34-year-old female, both of Winnipeg, are facing drug related charges for their alleged involvement.
Both were released via Promise to Appear.
