It All Starts With YOU – Help Stop Gangs From Taking Hold Of Our Community!

YOU are invited to join us for a Gang Awareness Information Night.  Find out how YOU can help stop the threat of gangs in our communities:

When: Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 – 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Where: North Centennial Community Center (90 Sinclair Street)

The Winnipeg Police Service, in partnership with the Crime Prevention Branch of the Province of Manitoba and Winnipeg Crime Stoppers, continues to work collaboratively to prevent, deter and reduce gang related offences in our communities.

The anti-gang poster promoting community involvement will be highly visible at schools, community centres and various other locations throughout the city.

As a community, we must always be proactive when it comes to crime. We are therefore taking action to help keep both guns and gangs out of our communities.

This campaign will focus on the following goals:
- To better educate the public about the dangers of guns and gangs
- Encourage citizens to report any information about illegal guns and gangs
- Provide the opportunity for early detection and intervention for young people and divert them from future gang activity
- Crime Stoppers will be in attendance. They will be paying double rewards for information on gang members in possession of guns

If you have information to share and wish to do so anonymously: Call: 204-786-TIPS (8477) Visit: www.WinnipegCrimeStoppers.Com Text: Send to 27437 (Crimes) Text: TIP 170 (=your message)

Crime Prevention through social development is a long term, planned process of collaboration between police and the community.

Creating a Culture of Safety for All!
