Update - Missing Person Investigation – Hirenkumar (Herry) PATEL 
C16-132812
As previously released -The Winnipeg Police Service requested the public's assistance in locating, Hirenkumar PATEL, 31 years old.  He was last seen on the evening of Sunday, June 26, 2016 in the East Kildonan area of Winnipeg.  

As a result of the investigation, officers attended to the area of the Red River near the Fort Garry Bridge. It was at that time members of the Winnipeg Police Service Dive Unit recovered a red Hyundai Elantra associated to PATEL. Further to the investigation, a body was recovered from within the vehicle.   

In conjunction with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, investigators have now confirmed that the body is that of PATELFoul play is not suspected. 

The family would like to thank all members of our community who helped support them during the search for Hirenkumar PATEL.

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting that the public and members of the media respect the family's privacy during this time of grieving.
