Homicide Arrest – C16-170088
As previously released, on August 16, 2016 at approximately 9:55 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence located in the 300 block of Bannerman Avenue regarding a deceased male being located.

The victim was identified as Eugene Allan HARRIS, 62 years of Winnipeg.  An autopsy determined the victim suffered injuries consistent with an assault.

Members of the Homicide Unit identified a suspect in connection with the incident. 

Vincent Morin, 31 years of Winnipeg, has been charged with Manslaughter.

Sudden Death –C16-172225
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on August 19, 2016, officers responded to the report of an unconscious female in the 400 block of Cumberland Avenue.

A 32 year old woman was conveyed to hospital in critical condition where she was pronounced deceased. 

As the investigation is on-going, the Winnipeg Police Service will not be providing further details at this time.
