Suspicious Object – C16-175244
On August 23, 2016, at approximately 10:50 a.m., emergency services personnel responded to the 100 block of Mayfair Avenue in response to a suspicious object unearthed during the excavation of a construction site. It was determined that the object was an un-exploded artillery shell.

   
 
The Winnipeg Police Bomb Unit will be attending.
   
Mayfair Avenue remains closed to all traffic between Harkness Avenue and Main Street.
