PUBLIC ADVISORY – TRAFFIC DELAYS EXPECTED

WORLD'S LARGEST TRUCK CONVOY

DATE: September 10, 2016

START TIME: 11:00 a.m.

DURATION: APPROXIMATLEY 1 HOUR

ROUTE: Perimeter Highway (PTH 100/101) Oak Bluff

The World's Largest Truck Convoy is a project of the Law Enforcement Torch Run in conjunction with members of the Manitoba trucking industry. The event raises funds and awareness for Special Olympics.

In 2015 Manitoba's World's Largest Truck Convoy saw 200 trucks involved and raised $60,000 for Manitoba's Special Olympians. The Manitoba convoy event will be held on Saturday, September 10th, 2016 with the trucks departing at 11:00 a.m.

Participants will meet at the Oak Bluff Recreation Centre (HWY #3) and will convoy southbound around the Perimeter Highway (Hwy #100 and #101). It is expected that close to 200 trucks will be in the convoy.

The public may experience minor traffic delays along this route as the convoy passes. The convoy is expected to take approximately one hour.
