Assault Investigation - Arrest - C16-198400
On September 23, 2016 at approximately 1:25 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 300 block of Ellice Avenue for reports that two people had been assaulted. 
   
A 42 year old male was located with serious upper body injuries and transported to hospital in critical condition. A 39 year old female was also injured, requiring treatment.
   
Patrol members identified and apprehended a 32 year old male leaving the area on a bike. The investigation continued by the Major Crimes Unit. 
   
At this time, the 32 year old male has been charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm relating to the injuries sustained by the female victim.
   
The investigation is on-going regarding the circumstances involving the seriously injured 42 year old male victim.
