Sexual Assault Investigation - R16-85013
Winnipeg Police received a report of a serious sexual assault that occurred on November 1, 2016.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on that evening the adult female victim was walking in the area of Midwinter Avenue and Brazier Street (Ernie O'Dowda Park).  The victim was approached from behind by a male suspect who physically overpowered her and seriously sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as an adult male with a large build and wearing a dark coloured hoodie.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
